Great Lakes Credit Union has everything you need to help manage your money and plan for the future.
Great Lakes Credit Union (GLCU) strives to protect your identity and any information we collect about you. GLCU’s privacy notice can be found here.
GLCU recognizes the importance of your privacy when visiting any mobile or online site owned or hosted by GLCU. The following explains the types of information that may be collected when you visit a GLCU site. GLCU does not collect personal identifiable information (PII) or email addresses from its sites unless you decide to provide such information.
What type of information is collected when I visit a GLCU site?
When you visit any GLCU site, the following information is captured. This information is aggregated, and GLCU uses it to understand and optimize site performance.
Most Internet Service Providers (ISP) assign IP addresses dynamically. In such a situation, your IP address would be different each time you access the site. Your privacy is further enhanced when your ISP uses a "proxy" server which then assigns the same IP address to everyone accessing the Internet via that ISP.
Use of Online Technologies and Cookies to Capture Information
GLCU may use “cookies” to store information when you visit a GLCU site. For example, cookies may be used within GLCU websites to enhance website security, improve website effectiveness and better tailor the site to your preferences. Cookies are a string of data sent between a server and a web browser to help track how you are using GLCU’s websites. They do not capture any information stored on your hard drive, and they are not used to run any programs on your computer. Cookies, in combination with tags on our website, can also be used to help personalize the posts and ads that you see from GLCU across the internet.
Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can choose to disable cookies within your browser settings. GLCU’s sites will still function without cookies, but some features may not work as expected.
Keeping Your Information Accurate
It is important that we have accurate and up-to-date information about you. If you notice that your information is incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date, please contact us at 800-982-7850 or visit one of our branches. You can also review and request changes to certain personal information such as your email address, mailing address, and telephone number on our sites.
Changes to This Policy
GLCU reserves the right to change this policy without notice. Any changes to this policy will be posted as soon as reasonably possible, so please check this page periodically. Use of the GLCU website constitutes consent to any policy then in effect.
3rd Party Web Site Links
GLCU sites may contain hyperlinks to other sites created and maintained by other organizations. When you click those links, you will be leaving the GLCU site and viewing alternate sites not operated by the credit union. GLCU does not regularly review materials posted on these linked sites and is not responsible for the content on them. GLCU does not represent either the third party or the member if the two enter into a transaction. Privacy and security policies may differ from those practiced by GLCU, and GLCU encourages visitors to those third-party sites to review their disclosed privacy and security policies for more information on how those third-party sites use consumer information.
GLCU MOBILE Digital Banking Solutions
GLCU’s Digital Banking Solutions periodically collect, transmit, and use geolocation information for enabling features such as, but not limited to, card use and alerts to prevent fraudulent activity, but only if the end user expressly authorizes collection of such information. Geolocation information can be monitored on a continuous basis in the background only while the feature(s) are being used or not at all, depending on the end user’s selection. The end user can change his/her/their location permissions at any time in their device settings.
GLCU’s Mobile App Solutions may require access to the contacts list on your mobile device in order to facilitate certain features within the application including but not limited to Zelle® and Mobile Lending, but only if the end user expressly authorizes access.
