Now you can open a new GLCU account and access our smart and simple financial solutions within one business day!* Your time is valuable, which is why we have three convenient ways you can apply for a new Great Lakes Credit Union account. Apply online, by telephone, or in person. The choice is yours.
GLCU is proud to use Plaid in our online application to make opening an account even simpler and faster. With Plaid, you can securely link to your existing bank account in a matter of seconds, using your external financial institution login credentials. Once authenticated, you can fund your GLCU account and get started with our tech-savvy products, tools, and services!
How to Open
To Apply Online
To complete our secure online membership application, you must be 18 years or older and have:
- A Valid U.S. government-issued ID (e.g. Driver’s License, Passport, State or Military ID) or Foreign Passport
- A Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN)
