Great Lakes Credit Union Launches ‘Back-to-school Giveaway’ for Members

With the fall school semester quickly approaching, Great Lakes Credit Union (GLCU) is thrilled to host a special contest for GLCU members: a ‘Back-to-school Giveaway’ in which GLCU will cover up to $150 in debit card expenses made between July 11, 2022, and September 19, 2022, for ten of its members who use their GLCU debit card.
The $150 will provide winners with a little extra support for school supplies, clothes, and educational resources to prepare for upcoming classes.
“GLCU has a strong commitment to the members in our communities who are continuing their educational journeys. From volunteering at book banks and hosting school supply drives to providing scholarships and financial education services for youth, we are dedicated to creating financial and educational opportunities that will empower students and their families,” said Michelle Shelton, Chief Experience Officer at GLCU.

Spend smarter with a GLCU debit card
Beyond the giveaway and on an on-going basis, any member who routinely uses their GLCU debit card earns free debit rewards, ranging from discounts at theme parks, on hotels, on airline tickets, and more.
Members can receive an instant-issued debit card when they open a Free Checking account at GLCU, which offers competitively high yields on account balances. It’s all part of the not-for-profit’s dedication to helping members spend and save smarter.
How to enter the Back-to-school Giveaway
Members can enter the contest in two ways. To be automatically entered, members simply need to use their GLCU debit card from July 11, 2022, to September 19, 2022. Entries will be received for each purchase made with a GLCU debit card during that time period. No purchase is necessary to enter.
