Great Lakes Credit Union, Citi, and Inclusiv Collaborate to Expand Access to Financial Services Nationwide

BANNOCKBURN, Ill. (May - 4, 2023) - Great Lakes Credit Union (GLCU), Inclusiv, and Citi are proud to announce the addition of GLCU to the Citi ATM Community Network. This partnership will enable GLCU members to check their account balance and make cash withdrawals for free at more than 2,300 Citibank branch ATMs in the United States, including those in New York, greater Miami, Washington, D.C., Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles metropolitan areas.
This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to promote financial inclusion and provide affordable financial services to underserved communities. Inclusiv, a national network of Community Development Credit Unions (CDCUs), played a pivotal role in connecting GLCU and Citi. Inclusiv's mission is to help low- and moderate-income people and communities achieve financial independence through credit unions.
“At Inclusiv, we believe that access to affordable financial services is a fundamental right,” said Cathie Mahon, President, and CEO of Inclusiv. “We are proud to be part of this collaboration, which will help expand access to financial services and empower underserved communities to achieve their financial goals.
Citi selected GLCU for this partnership due to its commitment to serving the underserved. With 51 percent of its members being identified as low income and its strong track record of delivering outreach and philanthropic initiatives to support its mission, GLCU is a certified CDCU.
