In-Branch Fraud Protection
To help prevent fraud, we’ve introduced a new ID proofing measure for in-person visits to Shared Branch locations. This new fraud prevention measure lets us verify that it’s YOU trying to access your account, not an imposter.
Tellers at a Shared Branch locations will identify and authenticate members with out-of-state IDs with a QR code and one-time passcode multi-factor authentication verification.
Note: This additional layer of authentication will be used for loan payments, cashier’s checks, deposits, withdrawals, transfers and account inquiries.
Get Validated in 6 Quick Steps
- Scan the QR code in the branch or visit coop.org.
- Select your credit union’s name from a dropdown list.
- Enter your member number and the last four digits of your Social Security number.
- Upload a photo of your ID.
- Take a selfie.
- Show your one-time passcode to the teller. (Passcode is valid for 20 minutes).
