Mad City Money Event at Vernon Hills High School

“Mad City Money” is a budgeting simulation in which students are given an occupation and salary, spouse and family, student loan debt, credit card debt, and cost of medical insurance to build a monthly budget as they visit numerous merchants and make purchase decisions based on affordability.

The highly interactive session gives students a real sense of the cost of living as well as the spending decisions adults make on a regular basis.
